About the AFFF
With the support of our Founding Patrons Phillip Adams AO and Prof Hon Barry Jones AC, The Board of Australian Film Future Foundation - Alan Finney AM, Ron V. Brown and Kaarin Fairfax established this non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving and protecting Australia's rich cinematic heritage. Working in partnership with the National Film and Sound Archive and Screen Australia, our mission is to enable Australian film producers and rights holders to rescue, restore and fully digitise their feature films. We believe too much of Australia's motion picture history has already been lost due to decaying film stock and the passing of time.
Established in partnership with the Ozflix streaming platform, the AFFF is working to make all existing Australian feature films fully accessible to the public, and to bring more than a century of ingenuity in storytelling back into our collective cultural narrative. We anticipate strong support from the government sector, which is being endorsed by Former Labour Premier of Victoria The Honourable John Brumby and Former Liberal Premier of Victoria The Honourable Ted Baillieu.
“This is a national issue,
a national heritage, and if it’s going to be available in the future we have to take some action now.”
- Ted Baillieu, Former Victorian Premier
“It's a project of such immense national benefit... it's such a rich part of our culture and our history”
- John Brumby, Former Victorian Premier
“People need to celebrate our wonderful films and have access to them”
- Gabrielle Trainor, Chair
National Film & Sound Archive
“Cinema is really powerful in the way it forges a culture and reinforces who we are”
- George Miller, Director, Writer, Producer
(Mad Max, Babe, Happy Feet)
Partnership Opportunities
The AFFF is offering the corporate sector the opportunity to support this important work. Organisations can engage through Platinum, Gold or Silver Sponsorship. Each tier offers our partners acknowledgement of their contribution via a combination of three key mechanisms:

Partnership promotional videos are a designed to give sponsors an opportunity to communicate to the public their company’s motivation for supporting the work of the Australian Film Future Foundation. Corporate Sponsors will be asked to nominate a representative who will sit down with one of the AFFF’s Celebrity Ambassadors to discuss the sponsor’s contribution to the preservation of Australia’s screen cultural heritage. The AFFF will shoot and deliver a high quality final edited video piece of video content for sponsors to use on their own marketing channels to highlight their philanthropic engagement with Australian film to their industry clients and broader customer base.

Film restoration naming rights will affiliate your organisations name with the name of the film you restore in perpetuity. A special ‘with thanks’ title card will appear in the opening credits of all digital iterations of the restored film.
